Moscow, Russia, February 12, 2016. – Ford Sollers, a joint venture of Ford Motor Company and Sollers JSC, has expanded its export deliveries to Kazakhstan by adding the new Ford Fiesta with a sedan body and a 5-door hatchback and a full lineup of Russian-made Ford vehicles.
Ford Sollers is always exploring new export opportunities in order to further its business. In 2016, the company is expecting a five-fold increase of the total volume of its export deliveries.
Kazakhstan became the first export market for Ford Sollers. Export deliveries of Russian-made Ford vehicles to Kazakhstan were launched in November of 2014. The project made it possible for Ford Sollers to get access to the new market and today helps the company utilize its manufacturing facilities in Russia more efficiently. Currently, customers in Kazakhstan have access to products that satisfy local operational conditions and customer preferences. For instance, they have a possibility to purchase Ford Fiesta vehicles in the 5-door hatchback version and the sedan body version which is not manufactured at any Ford facilities in Europe, but is built only in Russia.
Deliveries of Russian-made vehicles strengthen the position of the Ford brand on Kazakhstan’s market due to their operational features tailored to the country’s conditions and the enhanced efficiency of business processes.
The vehicles exported to Kazakhstan – the new Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus, Ford Mondeo, Ford Explorer, the Ford Kuga smart crossover, the Ford EcoSport subcompact crossover and the new Ford Transit, whose production is organized at the Ford Sollers plants in Vsevolozhsk, Elabuga and Naberezhnye Chelny, - are adapted specifically to difficult climatic and road conditions.
