Ford Sollers will provide Europe with spare parts for Ford Focus

  • Ford Sollers began exporting 21 items of spare parts for Ford Focus to Europe;
  • 120,000 parts will be supplied annually, which will cover the needs of European dealers in these product items;
  • Overall, about 100 spare part items will be supplied to Europe by Ford Sollers. Besides Ford Focus, the joint venture produces components for the new Ford EcoSport.

MOSCOW, Russia, November 13, 2018 - Ford Sollers announces the beginning of spare parts delivery for Ford Focus to the European market. The project which became possible thanks to the high quality of spare parts produced in Russia and well-coordinated work of various departments of Ford Sollers, provides 21 product items to Europe including body panels in the amount of 120,000 spare parts per year. Estimated deliveries, in which Ford Sollers is the sole supplier, will cover the needs of all European dealers in the mentioned spare parts.

For export to Europe, Russian suppliers of Ford Sollers will produce plastic parts for the front and rear bumpers (12 items), ceiling upholstery, front fenders, interior door and side panels. Preparation of the body parts for export includes their welding and cataphoretic coating at the Ford Sollers plant in Vsevolozhsk. The plant will also sub-assemble bumpers for export.

Ford Sollers plant in Vsevolozhsk is the first plant of a foreign brand in Russia with full cycle production, which produces Ford Focus since 2002. Now the plant produces Ford Focus in three body types and Ford Mondeo D-class sedan. Rigorous manufacturing control system in accordance with Ford’s international standards ensures the high quality of vehicles produced in Vsevolozhsk. The plant has the most modern equipment, including robots and various test benches, as well as its own proving ground for testing every finished car.

The total number of items delivered by Ford Sollers and Russian suppliers to Europe is close to 100. In October 2017 Ford Sollers began to export to the Ford Plant in Craiova (Romania) body parts, interior elements, glass and seals for the new Ford EcoSport, a subcompact crossover also offered on Russian market.
